School is never out at Beth Israel Congregation! Regardless of your Jewish education background–or lack thereof–you can learn something new at the Temple.
Each week, Saturday morning services are followed by vigorous discussion and debate centered around the weekly Torah portion. This is an informal education session exploring issues that have troubled the Jewish People for thousands of years.
In addition, the Temple offers numerous opportunities throughout the year for more formal adult learning. Tuesday nights often feature classes on everything from Jewish cooking to Jewish history. We learn about everything from mysticism and the structure of our Bible to reading and translating Hebrew. In addition, Adult Bar and Bat Mitzvah training is offered to those who didn’t have the opportunity to be called to the Torah in their younger days.
